How to obtain Asset ID/Device Name from Laptops and Desktops

1. Right-clicking the Start menu icon. Alternatively, press Windows+X.

2. In the Power User menu that opens, select "System."

3. On the "About" screen that opens, next to "Device Name," you'll see your computer name.

PLEASE NOTE

The device name is usually a combination of "COL-" and the device's serial number, which is also listed on the bottom of your Surface device.
